Looks like the obverse star in the C of the reverse. Doubt it changes the value but a fun error coin to have in my 3¢ silver collection!Picked up this raw 3¢ Silver coin and notices what seems like patterns in the fields on the reverse and fainter on the obverse. - Probably a clashed die. If you crop your photos, we will be able to see more of the coin and less of the background.Probably a clashed die. If you crop your photos, we will be able to see more of the coin and less of the background.

- Hello fellow coin enthusiasts! My name’s Tim Sauerwein and I collect US coins from the early 19th to mid 20th century and ancient British Celtic and Saxon coinage. I started collecting at age 13 in 1976 with Mercury dimes, still my favorite. My efforts haven’t been consistent since then, but my passion is stronger along with my budget. I’ve got satisfying (to me:) sets for Standing Lib qtrs, Indian head cents, Peace dollars and 3¢ silver to 1862. Recently started my journey into 18th century early American coppers and US types sets for dimes and quarters. I’ve got a few early US notes and fractional notes.
Look forward to sharing photos and stories and learning together.Hello fellow coin enthusiasts!
