  • Hello to all. Just a small problem, nothing major. On my inventory page, in the coin description, it has my 2020 silver dime and 2020 silver Kennedy half as .90 percent silver. The US mint since 2019 has minted all silver coins at .999 fine. And there is no description of the quarters! Thanks for taking the time!

  • I have re-published the 100 Greatest U.S. Coins Set. The newest edition has come out so I made the updates. I think the order changed on 97 of the 100 slots, around 6 coins were removed and others were added. A couple slots were also combined. There were enough changes where I thought I would republish it. Those who already had the set don't need to do anything but check and see if any of the new coins match their inventory.

Some of the new coins added are the 1877 Indian Head Cent, 1918-S 8/7 Standing Liberty Quarter, 1918-D 8/7 Buffalo Nickel, 1879 Quintuple Stella and a few more.

  • Thanks for adding the circulated sets to the Registry, I was hoping you would do so. My specialty is circulated type sets so now I finally get a chance at having some #1 ranked sets.

  • Jason has been making changes to the coin inventory page based on some questions and comments we regularly receive.

There are 3 boxes under the coin overview. These are allocated sets, unallocated sets and Eligible sets. These are as they sound, sets the coin is in, sets you have started the coin is not allocated in and then sets you have not started the coin is eligible for.

When you scroll down there is a header for matching sets (allocated to other coins) these are sets you have started, and the coin is eligible but there is coin already in that slot for the set and it also shows you the coin in the slot.

What you see in your coin inventory is not what other people see when viewing your inventory. The inventory gets complex as there are multiple settings for the privacy on your coins and your sets. A user looking at your inventory will see allocated sets and eligible sets for the coin, much less info than you can see. Please always let us know your feedback as we want to continue improving pages to make them better for the users.

I can't figure out how to upgrade a coin in a set after I add new coins to my inventory. What am I missing? Does it happen automatically?

  • Conversation point! On graded PLUS coins (ie: 67+)

Imagine the 66 is $150, and the 67 is $500.

A.) I would just buy the next grade up to have a clean straight grade, too controversial and risky.

B.) I’ll pay a considerable amount more than 66, it’s a plus and that next grade up is crazy $$$ (assume this is $350)

C.) Might pay a few dollars more depending on the coins values, but it’s too controversial (assume this is $200)

  • Hi Gang, I was just wondering if anyone else is seeing the problem in which the coins are assigned point values for the registry sets. A coin in a PCGS holder is assigned a higher value than if it is in an NGC holder? Both coins could have the same grade and both have a green CAC sticker, but the PCGS coin would receive a higher point value. If you send both coins in to CACG to be crossed into their holder, then the coins are assigned the same point value? Does anyone else see a problem with this? Thanks
