- Two new(ish) purchases, an 1823 O-112 in MS64 and an 1834 O-109 in MS64+
The 1823 has unbelievable luster and eye appeal. Without the die imperfection, it rivals the 64+ in grade.
The 1834 is a wholesome coin with a touch of album toning. I typically avoid small date halves (34 and on) but this one had enough eye appeal for me to get over the lack of design quality.
Overall very happy with the two and will likely hold onto them for a few months before offering one for private sale. Two new(ish) purchases, an 1823 O-112 in MS64 and an 1834 O-109 in MS64+ The 1823 has unbelievable luster and eye appeal. - I see you REALLY like my 1825 proof CBH- I’ll take that as a compliment it does have fantastic toning- I crossed it from an NGC66 to a PCGS66- provenance Green-Newman-Pogue. Finest of two known! One of the favorites in my collection!I see you REALLY like my 1825 proof CBH- I’ll take that as a compliment it does have fantastic toning- I crossed it from an NGC66 to a PCGS66- provenance Green-Newman-Pogue. - FloridaFacelifter I can't believe I'm just now seeing your comment! Yes, this coin was (and still is) my absolute dream coin for its eye appeal and rarity. I saw it was crossed a few years back and have to say the images really bring it to life. I'm now using a different coin as my profile picture on instagram so I suppose it's time to change it on here too. You have some incredible pieces, thanks for sharing them on here![FloridaFacelifter] I can't believe I'm just now seeing your comment!
