The West Point Mint in 2020 struck a Unique variety of the one-ounce fifty dollar proof Gold Eagle with a small v75 privy mark in the right obverse field. This coin was struck to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the end of World War II, and the mintage was fixed at 1,945 pieces -- the year in which the war ended. A rare coin with only 1945 minted and this being the “rarest of the rare” due to its First Day Of Issue (FDOI) status. The coin is housed in the very desirable PCGS “Flag” label. According to PCGS, there are only 143 of these in PR70DCAM FDOI with this insert number!
