About Me
I started collecting in 1962. Started out doing everything...mostly current. Then went into collecting all Dimes and all Varieties of Dimes. I also am doing the Classic set, which is Buffalo Nickels, Mercury Dimes, Standing Quarters, and Walking Half Dollars. I also have a Complete Nickel Basic Set 1866 to date going. And last but not least I a'm doing a Everyman Type Set using Varieties whenever possible.
Recent Updates
  • I found this scarce variety in the wild on Ebay. It's an 1875-CC AB F-107b. Filled die Head & Shoulder arae on Obverse. Gerry Fortin gives this variety a R6 rating.

  • I just got a pic taken of one of my Rare Seated Dime Varieties. This is a PCGS25 example of the 1865-S F-104 (R5+). All 1865-S Dimes are tuff but this is one of the better ones. As you can see there is weakness in the lettering on Obverse and the Reverse has a die line thru the (O)ne Dime. And the MM is a Small weak "s".

  • I found this 1953-S "Bugs Bunny" Dime several years ago on Ebay. It is listed in the Nwe CPG as FS-401. But so far PCGS has not included them in their Sets. I am lobbying for this now. This is a nice example PCGS66FB.

  • I just added this beautiful 1944-S Mercury Dime PCGS66 to my collection. Not only is it beautifully toned, but it appears to have remnants (South) of a prior punch on the Mintmark. It is not listed anywhere that I have found so it will be called a possible Unlisted RPM for now.

  • I just added this sweet 1942-S Dime to upgrade the PCGS67. The first coin was in error and I don't know how to remove it. It is one of my overdates.

  • Just added this beautiful Roosie Variety to my Variety Showcase. It's an 1954-S Unlisted RPM East. You can see the "S" between the MM and Torch.

  • The year 1942 at the Denver Mint is very rich in RPM's. CONECA list 17 at present, which I have 15. The 1942-D pictured here is a unlisted RPM South.

  • I just added another Variety to my Showcase on PCGS. It's a 1951-S with No "JS". Pcgs does not at this time attribute this as they do on the 1954-S, but I have found several other dates besides the 1954-S with the "JS" missing. There is some streaked toning there but NO "JS". This a pretty Dime to boot and graded MS67.
