About Me
Jeffrey Shumar’s introduction into coins began with varieties and errors focusing on Lincoln cents. Building on this start in varieties and errors he later focused on die progressions and trends where he did extensive research into how dies deteriorate and subsequently fail over their lifetime striking coins. He then had a very organic transition into becoming a coin dealer focusing on buying and selling raw type coins, errors and varieties. Fast forward a few years he currently focuses on high quality US and World coins along with exonumia. He attends a large number of regional and club shows in the Pittsburgh, PA area along with surrounding shows in Maryland and Ohio. In addition to being involved in numismatics he also has a full time manufacturing job.
