I just picked up this older 20th Century type album and will release these mix of coins and place them in an older (1965 vintage) Dansco 7070.

These older Dansco (Continental Line) albums rarely come up for sale. When they do
I make every effort to purchase them. Here is my latest. The condition appears to be above average for these 60+ year old albums.

I'm leaning toward this Dansco album being a custom edition. I've not seen this type before and there is no identifying number. I just picked it up and I'll do more research on it.

Released from its PCGS slab and placed into an older Dansco type set album.

Over the decades Dansco has repositioned a few of their United States Type Set album openings for the coins. Whether it is an improvement is up to the user. Here are examples:

1965 was a transition year for Dansco as the Continental Line of albums faded into what would be the new Dansco line. Very few albums were printed in 1965 and even fewer still exist today.
The 7070 U.S. Type set album of 1965 had a brighter cover and the back cover identifiers were in gold leaf. That would immediately change in 1966 with black ink for the company name and address.
I knew this album existed I just had yet to ever see one. Now that I own it I can confirm it isn't just a myth they exist.

I find it interesting the various locations- mostly around Southern California- Dansco has been headquartered. Here are a few I've located. I'd be interested if there are others.

Ervin Felix the creator of the Continental Line of albums was an avid stamp collector and wrote several books on the topic. It appears numismatics was in second place for him.
