- I thought the fakes on eBay were slowing down a bit but today I found a lot of fake Morgan listings. They use this picture on several listings so if you see this coin photo, it's a fake listing.
I reported the seller and several others like it. Please do the same if you can.

- In 2026, there has been a noticeable increase in counterfeit PCGS holders and coins appearing on the market/eBay. While many of these pieces exhibit obvious inconsistencies in both the labels and the coins themselves, they have nonetheless succeeded in deceiving some buyers unfortunately.
GreatCollections has also seen an increase in attempted consignments of these counterfeit pieces, with several encountered in a single day, most notably 1875-CC Seated Liberty Half Dollars and 1881-CC Morgan Dollars in clearly fake PCGS holders.
On many of these deceptive holders, the PCGS/NFC logo appears on the outside of the plastic.

Contemporary counterfeits are very interesting and are also some of the coins I collect.
