Clipped Planchet: Incomplete Clip
This error occurs when the blanking press is punching out blanks, and does not punch all the way through the planchet strip. Then the planchet strip is not advanced forward all the way, and the blanking press then (successfully) punching out blanks which overlap the previously partially punched out blanks.
The resulting blanks will have an arching line across both sides of the coin. Examples are known with multiple incomplete clips on the same coin.

You may know it as the "Doubled Earring".
I had a stash of beautful fresh P Maya rolls and decided to open a few earlier this year...
Pulled about ten of these out of one of the rolls.
Did some searching and couldn't find a single graded example anywhere!
When I realized I couldn't find any graded examples I decided to send a few nice ones off.
Went and picked them up today

Ebay sellers have vddr-001 through 003, all mention the earring doubling.I have only graded 2022 silver and clad proofs so far, next need to get all three mintmarks of 2022 MS, and get all these sets for 2023. - SilverAge3 I asked around too when it popped up as a seemingly new designation from Variety Vista and this was the best answer I got, "James Wiles is no longer cataloging varieties for CONECA, but he is adding varieties he finds to the VarietyVista page using his own cataloging system, which adds a "V" to the beginning of what CONECA might call it. He maintains it in VarietyVista, because that's where everyone goes for the CONECA varieties, anyway, as the information there is far more comprehensive that what CONECA has gotten around to publishing.
