So I've been here about a week. Some questions/comments/observations:
- Is there a way to switch from what eBay calls Gallery View (the way my MC is set) to what eBay calls List View (the way the PCGS Message Boards are set up)? I prefer the list view because I can see more.
- Right now, MC is new. So to figure out what groups you might want to join, you have to scroll through them. If you click the "See More" box a few times, go to a group, then go back, it takes you back to the top of the Groups. Given how many groups there are, and the difference in number of members, I find this irritating. I don't see a way to set more groups per page (i.e. 20, 50, 100, All) either.
- What am I looking at when I first log in? It doesn't seem to be a General Group; is it just the most recent posts from only the groups I have joined? It would seem to help spur interest in groups if it were the most recent posts from ALL groups.
- I get there are likely security issues related to letting all people message all people. At the same time, if I make a friend request of Ian or Todd or Jack or ... , and you don't know me, what will you do?
- If you upload more than one picture, I don't care for the "center of the page" crop of the first picture. If you have a coin picture with the obverse and reverse - a very common occurrence - the center crop shows the right half of the obverse and the left half of the reverse. This is not inviting, and many times you cannot really tell what's behind the crop. As I result, I find myself not clicking the photo.
None of the above is right or wrong, it's just my feedback after trying to navigate around for a week or so. I like what MyCollect is trying to do, I hope it does well and prospers.
