- A very nice batch of bills for sale. None are NET graded or commented. I have scans as well as photos available if needed. Pricing via comps, eBay, HA, etc.. X-Posted.
1896 $ 1.00 FR. 225 Silver Certifícate PMG 30
Extremely hot series. The $1.00 Educational Note. Very clean note with sharp corners and good centering. The bill does show folds in the tri-fold regions. No horizontal fold is present. This bill has great color and clarity.
$ 1,100.00
1901 $ 10.00 FR 122 Legal Tender PMG 30 “Bison”
Another hot note is the 1901 $ 10.00 Bison. This is a very fine note that is worthy of the grade. Light horizontal fold, and folds from the tri-fold area. It is a sharp bill, with great print. The reverse is very good with limited slant. The obverse is nice and clear and has very good eye appeal. Many times these bills have some bleed through to the reverse, that comes from the red ink on the obverse, this does not. A very nice 30.
$ 2,200.00
1907 $ 5.00 FR. 91 Legal Tender PMG 45EPQ “Woodchopper”
Great visual appearance, very good specimen. Front centering is great, back centering is shifted a little left and high. One-fold can be visually seen on the back left, because of the field. On the front, this barely shows at all.
$ 525.00
1917 $ 2.00 FR 60 Legal Tender PCGS 58
This is a very bright appealing note, with no discoloration. The note really pops on the obverse. The reverse also has great color, the only thing that kept this out of UNC is there is a small corner fold on the lower left corner. The rest of the bill is dynamite.
$400.00
1918 $1.00 Federal Reserve Note FR 713 PCGS 50 AU
Another bright and colorful note that defies grading logic. Beauty of a note. This is one of my favorite notes.
$ 425.00
1922 $20.00 FR 1187 Gold Certificate PCGS 45
Obverse is very clean, crisp and clear. The reverse has great color and is not badly centered. If this bill was ever folded, it sure doesn’t show. This bill has great eye appeal. I have seen 50 and 53’s that look much worse than this bill. The pics are scans, so you can see for yourself.
$ 1,100.00

- STRAYE It is based on the coin number so those should be congrats sets. Problem is you dont know how many FS, FDOI as those are different coin numbers. Not sure how the CACG pop report works.[STRAYE] It is based on the coin number so those should be congrats sets. Problem is you dont know how many FS, FDOI as those are different coin numbers. - Sharing for a friend who has this listed on GC.
It is the highest graded bill from the bank, with the next one being a 63. The wording from Heritage in 2021 was:
Dixon, IL - $20 1929 Ty. 2 The City National Bank Ch. # 13856 PMG Choice Uncirculated 63.
This Lee County farming community was located just off of I-88. A small size only bank, this institution came to the party late, and only issued Type Two notes. Eight examples are enumerated in the NBN Census, with this piece easily being the nicest example. The only other example we have sold was a very problemed Good-Very Good that realized over $400 fifteen years ago.

Very cool note featuring Andrew Jackson on the front, prior to his promotion to the $20 note. Message me if interested!

This was buy far the biggest show I've ever attended. It was amazing! I met so many people I've only read about over the years, I bought some incredible pieces, and made some important contacts. This note is one of the biggest reasons I enjoy Nationals - just seeing the town on the note reminds me of this amazing experience of being in that town for a few days in August of 2023 and attending the ANA show. When a customer buys a NBN from me, I always ask "why that note?" I think my favorite answer was "Because my grandfather signed it" from a note I sold to a customer from Ohio.
According to Track and Price, only 12 large remains from The Fourth National Bank of Pittsburgh and of those, 4 are $10 brown backs. This note in particular was signed by Cashier George Henry Fulton and Pres. James Madison Bailey and appears to be bold live ink signatures.3 Comments 0 Shares 758 Views - Looking to sell this nice high denomination FRN.
