- I was surprised that no Modern commemoratives were included in the 100 award set listings. - Kia Yes, there should be a modern commemorative set. I fully expect over the next few days to receive plenty of feedback on the awards and we do our best to listen and respond to all the feedback. This is the first year for our awards and we will improve and grow it for next year. I made a decision after the initial list was made not to make changes. There are a couple sets that don’t have enough sets to warrant an award but I didn’t want to start making changes, start a back and forth and confuse users (or take awards away from those expecting one). Next year I will be sure the silver and the gold modern commemorative sets have awards.[Kia] Yes, there should be a modern commemorative set. - ToddPollock I understand. It is impossible to award all of the sets that people might want. Modern commemoratives do not have a large following like they used to, and values of some have dropped, but anyone trying to find several of these in 70 grades will find out they are very scarce.[ToddPollock] I understand. - Perhaps, but I would think collector demand is more popular with the Classic Silver Commems and Modern Silver Eagles. Just take a look at the number of participants in Classic Silver Commems and Silver Eagles compared to Modern Commems.
