An extremely rare sister note to the other serial number 1 from this bank which appeared in auction in Spring of 2023. This being from the D plate position with the former example being from position B, seemingly confirming the assertion made in that offering that the first sheet of these notes were all presumably printed with serial number 1 and were saved as mementoes by the bank staff. With the appearance of this note the total population for this bank is raised to a scant three notes. The main reason for this was the short life of the bank, having only been open from the beginning of 1927 and closing in June of 1929 with only $3,140 in $5 notes outstanding at the time of liquidation.
