Just curious what all of you think is hardest to get points on. ( certain condition point range) In my opinion Au to 62 range is hardest because of slider ms coins that grade 61 or and au because 1 grade off is only 12 points. Here are two good examples of those slider au/ms coins where I called 58 or 55 and they went ms.

Agree the sliders are very tough. For me, not so much a numerical grade range as a certain type. I find the fractional California gold really difficult. That, or weakly struck, early American (pre-steam press) silver. There is so much variance in strike, plus the toning makes it difficult to tell if it is worn or not.

Hardest to get points on? Toned proofs because the pictures never give you any relevant grading info. So you're left guessing in the dark.

  Westin Yeah if we’re not talking About a certain point range that’s hardest it’s definitely those. With the toned ones you can’t see contact marks or anything. I also made a post a while ago asking for tips on this because thats the one thing where I’m often off by multiple points.
