Can't seem to find it, but I recall seeing one on either a regency slab or early 1080. Also possible it was a special edition holder with the barcode/serial number on the back of the slab insert. I don't it's out of the question cac would do that, especially in the early days

[MONKEYROCKET] Gold stickers are for Exceeded CAC standards for the grade. They are pretty hard to get and command a premium. Green stickers are for met CAC standards.

[ToddPollock] Just a little off topic for a second. PCGS, NGC and ANACS have for years been considered to top 3 TPG'ers. Where do you think CAC fits in there today?

[MONKEYROCKET] CACG considers themselves the most conservative grading company. According to market pricing, this is accurate. Any CAC stickered or CACG slabbed coin commands a premium over the others. The premium depends on market demand and supply, like anything else. A 1884 O Morgan Dollar graded MS64 (common silver dollar) with a CAC sticker will have little effect on price compared to a 1897 O DMPL with a CAC sticker. The 1897 O is scarce in DMPL in any grade but only a handful have a CAC approval so the value could double with just a green sticker.

[IanRussell] in the first five years of CAC operations they issued 1754 gold stickers out of 429,000 coin submissions. … I can’t narrow it down to the first year or the first month but I would imagine that would have to be one of the very first gold CAC stickers at 1.5% odds
