The 1898 Proof Barber Half Dollar is a scarce late nineteenth century issue, and Ultra Cameo examples are especially elusive. Just over 20 coins have been designated Ultra Cameo at NGC. This NGC Proof-67 UC example, approved by CAC, displays sharp contrast between deeply mirrored fields and frosted devices, all in a completely blast white presentation. The strike is crisp and well defined, with exceptional overall eye appeal.
