The 1799 Small Stars Eagle is the scarcer obverse type and a challenging early gold issue in Mint State. From a mintage of 37,449 pieces, an estimated 400 to 500 survive, most in circulated grades. This PCGS MS-63 example, approved by CAC, is beautifully preserved with original skin, strong luster, and rich gold color. The strike is sharp for the date, and the surfaces are clean and well balanced.
