1851 25C MS64 OH NGC CAC

The 1851 Liberty Seated quarter dollar is among the most elusive Philadelphia issues in high Mint State. Today, fully Mint State survivors are seldom encountered, and examples at the MS64 level represent the Condition Census. Current estimates suggest approximately 400 pieces survive in all grades. The surface is exceptional for the issue, and the visual presentation is dominated by warm rose-gold and copper-orange hues that blanket through the surrounding fields. There is only 1 example approved finer at CAC, whilst three others at MS64, among them this is the best. The present example last sold 04/23 HA for $8,400; however, considering AU50 PCGS CAC sell for $1,680 09/25 SB and XF40 PCGS CAC $1,135 04/24 GC, we see strong value in this coin.
