  • I wasn't happy with how much detail is lost when I render those photos to video and then discord/ebay/youtube compresses them, so I'm playing with zooming and panning, which should be way easier to see on smaller screens

be sure to set quality to 4k and go fullscreen

  • Franklin Mint, The Medallic History of Jewish People Medals Collection, 1975. I assume it is from that series as the side with text is very similar, but I've yet to find a picture of a set that shows this design. Favorite thing I've had the please of photographing in a while. 39mm. Bronze.

  • I'm going through a lot of tokens experimenting with photography techniques. They're great subjects to experiment with since the size, finish, composition, toning, etc varies so much. I finally figured out how to shoot coins in motion style in only a few seconds per coin, before I was doing timelapses that took several minutes. Which do you prefer, with or without the axial lighting?

Suggestion for future U.S. Mint Silver Presidential Medals
Although I have a complete set of silver Presidential Medals in NGC/PCGS holders that state Coin and Chronicles on the labels, I still think the U.S. Mint should distinguish these medals when they're issued again as part of the current Presidential Silver Medals program. Below is the text of a letter that I sent to U.S. Mint Director Gibson concerning the matter: 11/19/23   Mint Director...
