  • #fakegold #counterfeit Got a call to evaluate a small gold collection... all 6 pieces were fake. Can't get any more obvious than this. Clownish replicas... base metal plated with brass. How many visual abnormalities can you spot Inherited from father who was a lifelong collector. He bought these 8 years ago in New Jersey, when he was in his mid nineties. Obviously not from any real dealer because these would NEVER fool any dealer. I suspect he paid alot of money for these. If real they'd be quite valuable. He was taken advantage of by some #scammer. Let's be careful out there, folks... only buy from reputable coin dealers
