- There are a lot of “metas” that I use for grading. For example, the second I see a toned silver eagle I immediately go business strike 67+. Red wheat cents get a 66 red automatically. This saves a lot of time and usually guarantees 18 points out of 20. Otherwise, it’s all practiceThere are a lot of “metas” that I use for grading. But old branch mint gold is not known for its flashy luster, and its seemingly "original" appearance is likely what brought it up. This happens a lot on old gold.You're right. - coin_kid34 1891 is a very cool one. You probably have a "spitting eagle" which is VAM 3. Thats a TOP 100 coin. They usually bring a premium for the VAM but funny thing is it's the most common of all the 1891 CC VAMs! So if you have a spitting eagle (looks like the eagle is spitting) it's cool, if not, it's a scarcer VAM and also cool. Do a Google search for Vam world.[coin_kid34] 1891 is a very cool one.
