This beautiful Trade Dollar was the last coin acquired to complete my #1-ranked 1880 Proof Set. I really enjoyed assembling this proof set, and I think the coins match each other nicely. I can certainly appreciate nice toning on coins, but with this particular set I intentionally searched for attractive un-toned (or very lightly toned) specimens that would look good together.
