- Ok so I have a problem the coins I have at Ngc right now are in grading/encapsulation/imaging, well hurricane milton is about to make landfall in Sarasota so that means they are going to be delayed who knows how long and I was hoping I would have them this weekend and another thing I was worried about in the submission was the coins being sms they had the cent as not sms and the half dollar as sms I called and they didn’t change the half dollar to Ms but when I told them they were from the same packaging they change the cent to smsOk so I have a problem the coins I have at Ngc right now are in grading/encapsulation/imaging, well hurricane milton is about to make landfall in Sarasota so that means they are going to be delayed who knows how long and I was hoping I would have them this weekend and another thing I was worried about in the submission was the coins being sms they had the cent as not sms and the half dollar as sms I called and they didn’t change the half dollar to Ms but when I told them they were from the same packaging they change the cent to sms2 Comments 1 Shares 848 ViewsCommenting is disabled.

- I’m going to send off a modern submission soon with just newer commemorative coins and silver eagles should I wait for the new 2024 flowing hair dollar to come out or should I just send what I have in. So far I have a 2005 silver eagle 2023 Morgan proof dollar 2 2024 silver eagles and a 2018 $10 gold liberty piece.

- My newest submission has been received which means about 10 days until they ship back to me but I’ll be gone the week after the next so let’s hope they come in before then because if not it is going to be really difficult not to look at the grades online which I don’t like doing. the submission is modern. My newest submission has been received which means about 10 days until they ship back to me but I’ll be gone the week after the next so let’s hope they come in before then because if not it is going to be really difficult not to look at the grades online which I don’t like doing. the submission is modern.3 Comments 0 Shares 353 ViewsCommenting is disabled.

- I have a few pvc coins that I got back from Ngc, they are back and they of course did not get graded I sent them in for gsa and if I send them in for conservation they will have to take them out of the gsa case but I can’t get them graded otherwise so should I sent them in for ncs conservative.I have a few pvc coins that I got back from Ngc, they are back and they of course did not get graded I sent them in for gsa and if I send them in for conservation they will have to take them out of the gsa case but I can’t get them graded otherwise so should I sent them in for ncs conservative.0 Comments 0 Shares 337 Views

- Shreveport may be a little out of your way, but you may want to call "American Coins and Collectibles" (https://amercoins.com) out of Shreveport and ask them for advice. They have an eBay store with a bunch of listings which means that they're taking pictures all the time. I don't know how professional of a picture you're looking for, but they can probably point you in the right direction.Shreveport may be a little out of your way, but you may want to call "American Coins and Collectibles" (https://amercoins.com) out of Shreveport and ask them for advice. - PandG: Ouch. I had a friend who lived in Dallas. Sometimes I would drive all the way from Baton Rouge to Dallas to visit him. That trip was murder. One time my car broke down in the middle of nowhere (alternator fan belt broke). That was a rough trip.[PandG]: Ouch. I had a friend who lived in Dallas. - I could list a few but you can find them googling coin photography services, but thats a very tight deadline, do you need the coin back by then or just the photos? You could try calling all your local coin shops and seeing if any of them have a camera setup so you wouldn't need to pay for expedited shipping.I could list a few but you can find them googling coin photography services, but thats a very tight deadline, do you need the coin back by then or just the photos? - I don’t Usually get mad at poor grading jobs but I sent in a 2 coin submission to Ngc 2 weeks ago under the modern tier, two soft pack gsa 1971 S Ike dollars and I looked them over one was a peg leg I looked at both for pvc damage neither had pvc damage so I sent them in and recently they went to quality control/finalized and then immediately went back down the grading/quality control so I called Ngc to make sure everyting was fine and I was told they were graded and about to be shipped and that they were in shipping. The next day I get an email for ncs conservation for the two coins that were apparently in shipping, so I replied no to the email and called them, the person I talked to said they weren’t encapsulated and they were found to have pvc in quality control. Come on I was completely lied to the first time I called I’m still mad, I think I’m going to switch to PCGS for a whileI don’t Usually get mad at poor grading jobs but I sent in a 2 coin submission to Ngc 2 weeks ago under the modern tier, two soft pack gsa 1971 S Ike dollars and I looked them over one was a peg leg I looked at both for pvc damage neither had pvc damage so I sent them in and recently they went to quality control/finalized and then immediately went back down the grading/quality control so I called Ngc to make sure everyting was fine and I was told they were graded and about to be shipped and that they were in shipping. - so are they doing conservation or sending them back details or in body bags?
PVC drives me nuts. Would sealing a collection with something that absorbs oxygen or water prevent that damage, I forget the chem reaction. Anyone out there keeping their collection in a deep freezer? How long is too long to keep coins in those guardhouse "uPVC" flips everyone uses?so are they doing conservation or sending them back details or in body bags? PVC drives me nuts. - [CollectorInspectorGadget] I was looking through my old collection and found that most of the coins that were sitting there had some sort of discoloration or some kind of pvc looking residue.[CollectorInspectorGadget] I was looking through my old collection and found that most of the coins that were sitting there had some sort of discoloration or some kind of pvc looking residue.
- [CollectorInspectorGadget] most are just mint state wheat cents and some not so mint state seated dimes so I don’t really need to.[CollectorInspectorGadget] most are just mint state wheat cents and some not so mint state seated dimes so I don’t really need to.
