  • Anyone know anything more about this Shurtleff College Token? My google searches reveal only one reference and that is one owned by the Smithsonian Institution.

  • I know there are a number of Ike varieties that people collect but I don't thing I have seen another 1974-S Silver Proof Ike with a die gouge like this. Also, coin is a minor reverse doubled die.

  • Provenance of Patriotic F-386/427j - George Fuld and Albert Jakira - Studying my set and I still have the flips many of the token came in. This is one that really caught my eye. Appears to suggest provenance of George Fuld and Albert Jakira - I have to assume Al Jakira was a very active dealer in Civil War Tokens in the late 1980's and early 1990's. Not certain what the reference of "cert. 1353" is but apparently this token was sold in auction on 12/16/89 for $797.50.
