- Here’s the “matching” $1000 bill my grandfather gave me that two folks asked about. Also included a $20 gold certificate. I know this is mainly for coins but if some of you would stop spending so much of that folding money on shiny round (and other shapes, I am not a “shapest) then maybe you’d have time to check out Great Collections currency auctions. I’ve watched 4 closely and well they’re hit and miss as far as inventory (Not GC fault). But like last week with that EPQ 64 $1000 note, WOW. My neighbor collects currency by serial numbers only; he’s attempting to get all the denominations with all his grandkids birthdays. It may be worthless to some but he’s always enjoyed it. I admittedly didn’t get it until he knocked on my door with a $100 bill with my birthday 2 digits for the month, 2 digits for date and 4 digits for the year! MY point is why pay 22% or higher when (sorry Ian) but just in the past 1.5 -2 years GC is auctioning off some cool stuff. Maybe EVERYONE (whether you collect or even if you’re not a member; Let’s email BlueVette! See Todd, I’d never use your name cause your so good to my GSA’s.Here’s the “matching” $1000 bill my grandfather gave me that two folks asked about. Also included a $20 gold certificate. - RyanG well you picky “matching” person. I’m referring to the grades as in the coins I collect. I promise you I know less about currency than anyone here (did I spell it right?) Actually I’m way too heavy into coins, mostly Carson City; even though I sold $118K via Ian last year. I’m not rich but just didn’t feel safe having that % of my wealth in coins. So I figured PAPER that’s on its way out and I can always use it for fire. Thanks for asking[RyanG] well you picky “matching” person. I’m referring to the grades as in the coins I collect. - Just added my fifth unappreciated coin (CAC of course) to my Top 100 U.S. coins. That puts me at number 10. Can I retire with just 5? - You can but you got a bit more that are certainly in reach. 1918/7 5c is one that comes to mind. It's easy to acquire up to Fine. You can but you got a bit more that are certainly in reach. 1918/7 5c is one that comes to mind. It's easy to acquire up to Fine.

- Hats off to the folks in shipping, inventory control etc. (especially shipping) at Great Collections. I won a lot Sunday night and paid right afterwards. Three days later (Wednesday) my newest GSA arrived and packaged as if it belonged to Mr. Russell; well I guess it kinda did for awhile. WOW, does that mean I can say “ I acquired this
rare piece from the Ian Russell Collection”?

- wall79 That’s exactly my plan, most of my coins (75%) are PCGS CAC except for my NGC GSA CC Morgan dollars and I had WAY too much money in those years before PCGS certified GSA’s. In fact it’s why removed most coins and won’t renew. I actually had to send them (PCGS) a picture of a GSA as they didn’t know what they were. And yes I still have the emails exchanged.[wall79] That’s exactly my plan, most of my coins (75%) are PCGS CAC except for my NGC GSA CC Morgan dollars and I had WAY too much money in those years before PCGS certified GSA’s. - ToddPollock Well they are not grading (stickering) on the plus. If you send them a 66+ PCGS coin, and they sticker it, it is only a 66 to them. I think they are very clear on that.[ToddPollock] Well they are not grading (stickering) on the plus. If you send them a 66+ PCGS coin, and they sticker it, it is only a 66 to them. - Rule556 Of course they give a bump themselves! Their registry does not validate other TPG coins so you can enter anything you want. We verify every coin on this system.[Rule556] Of course they give a bump themselves! Their registry does not validate other TPG coins so you can enter anything you want. - JFVanBurenIII Yes they are clear but that also causes the problems for our registry. If a 67+CAC is not a 67+CACG we cant treat them the same.[JFVanBurenIII] Yes they are clear but that also causes the problems for our registry. If a 67+CAC is not a 67+CACG we cant treat them the same.

- Todd,
Is there anyway to make a custom set (like boxes of..) and leave “blanks?”
i.e.
GSA’s
1878-cc
1878-cc VAM 11
1878-cc VAM 18
1878-cc VAM 24
1879-cc
1879-cc VAM 3
ETC.
I’m not asking you to make a set, just wondering if I could make a complete set with blanks and fill as I find them. As of now 33 different all labeled as appropriate VAM. Still missing three.
