  • Thoughts on ways to deal with green copper?A bit too much green came through on these versus in-hand, even in-hand under bright light. It should be there but faint.

  • Same coin, same camera, two different methods of photography. In-hand, it has the discolorations of the duller image (LED-lit), but with the luster of the brighter photo (axial). How to get one image with both?

  • Picked this up looking for a FS-801 DDR, but really looking at the 1918 date now. With the inside bottom 8 loop lines and the doubled F, it doesn’t look like machine doubling to me. Is this known/real, or just machine?

  • Pinkish-red only seems to show up under the bright lights. I see it through the viewfinder too, but not in-hand. Picked up this 1795 C-6 thin planchet at the ANA Chicago.

  • Newp- 1828 12 Stars C-2. Some discoloration, but I’m getting better at capturing true color for coppers. This one uses two bendable led microscope lights with macro lens on a mount.
