- TigerHunterMost 1983 pennies are worth just 1 cent, but rare versions can be worth thousands. Look for three specific details: the weight, the mint mark, and any visible doubling on the coin's text.1983 Penny Value GuideRegular 1983 Penny (Face Value): Most pennies from this year weigh 2.5 grams (zinc core) and are worth exactly $0.01 in circulated condition. The "Doubled Die Reverse" Error ($100 – $7,000+): Highly sought-after. Look at the reverse (back) side of a Philadelphia-minted (no mint mark) 1983 penny. If you see clear doubling or a "3-D" effect on the words "ONE CENT" or "E PLURIBUS UNUM", it is a valuable error coin. Mint state specimens have sold for $5,000 to over $7,000 at auction. The "Solid Copper" Transitional Error ($2,000 – $7,000+): In 1982, the mint transitioned the penny from copper to zinc. By 1983, all pennies should weigh 2.5 grams. If you find a 1983 penny that weighs 3.1 grams, it was accidentally struck on a leftover copper blank. These are incredibly rare and highly prized by collectors. Does that help? Most 1983 pennies are worth just 1 cent, but rare versions can be worth thousands. - Yeah, I would recommend the same. All cents pre-1982 are 90% copper (about $0.03/e) and some '82s and very few '83s were also. The 1882 Penny may be worth a few bucks to the right person. The 1976 may also be a couple of dollars to an interested collector.Yeah, I would recommend the same. All cents pre-1982 are 90% copper (about $0.03/e) and some '82s and very few '83s were also. - That's a very damaged cent but maybe weigh it to see if it's copper ...That's a very damaged cent but maybe weigh it to see if it's copper ...

You only showed one side and that was pretty out of focus. So far of all the US coins you posted I dont see any with any real value. What was the gold coin you posted?
